Southwest Regional Liaison

The Victims Impact Panel of Oklahoma, Inc., (VIP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the epidemic of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  Impaired driving crashes take innocent lives and physically injure an alarming number of people daily.  They are the number one killer of our young people.  But unlike other serious epidemics, impaired driving has a cure. The answer is found in those who are forever changed because of someone’s decision to drive under the influence.

 

Victims Impact Panel of Oklahoma, Inc., believes in aiming at the heart to reach people about the dangers of driving under the influence. This is accomplished by presenting a panel of three speakers who share their personal and very real tragedies, thereby giving a name and a face to the pain and devastation.  

 

The Southwest Regional Liaison will be the ambassador for the program in the specified counties, cultivating and nurturing relationships for overall organizational growth and effectiveness. 

 

Counties assigned for this position: Beckham, Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Custer, Grady, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Jefferson, Kiowa, Roger Mills, Stephens, Tillman, Washita

 

Essential Job Responsibilities 

 

External Relationship Building

  • Making visits to every county assigned on a 3 month rolling rotation, visiting multiple groups and offices each time including but not limited to: District Attorney’s Offices, Victim Witness Coordinators, Probation and Parole Offices, Judges, Court Clerks, Defense Attorneys, and DUI Assessors
  • Ensuring the offices visited have any forms or documentation for the VIP program that they might need or want
  • Listening to and addressing any concerns or feedback they may have
  • Refreshing them about our speaker recruitment process and checking to see if they have any recommendations
  • Getting and providing any contact information they might have and/or they might need
  • Relaying any new information from the HQ office
  • Leaving behind your contact information and maintaining a positive working relationship

 

Data Analytics and Reporting

  • Maintain an accurate database of site locations and contacts
  • Creating and submitting a monthly report to the leadership team detailing your locations visited and a summary of what was accomplished

 

Qualifications and Special Requirements 

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent practical experience 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple ongoing projects, priorities, and deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a multi-tasking environment
  • The ability to use tact and diplomacy in interactions with all relevant parties
  • A strong ethical code
  • Maintain a positive attitude and be open to feedback
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Interpersonal skills including experience with pitching and interacting with varying levels of the judicial system in Oklahoma
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with courts and court systems 
  • Prior experience with District Attorney’s, Defense Attorney’s, Court Clerks, Probation and Parole, and etcetera a plus. 

 

Special Requirements

  • Ability to work weekends, evening hours, or holidays as necessary
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Access to a personal vehicle, with current insurance, and the ability to travel 
  • Must pass a background check
  • Standing and walking may be required
  • Some lifting, items of 50 lbs. or less, may be required

 

Schedule 

  • Flexible due to job demands
  • Overall monthly time commitment; 

 

Compensation

  • $1000 Monthly stipend with opportunity for bonuses
